Why I'll Never Stop Doing FIRST LEGO League

Back in 2017/2018, we ran our very first FIRST LEGO League event in partnership with Dublin City University, and this young man, representing Rosmini Community School, was part of the team that won our first-ever regional tournament. They went on to take part in the UK and Ireland Finals later that year. It was a fantastic experience for all involved.

Fast forward to yesterday, in partnership with DCU Faculty of Engineering and Computing, we ran a volunteering workshop for over 70 (yes 70!) eager Dublin City University students, and who do I bump into.... 5 years later!

He is now in his final year at DCU Faculty of Engineering and Computing and it was humbling to hear the impact #firstlegoleague had on him and his goal to work towards a career in computer science. And it was amazing, that even with the pressure of his final year of studies, he's joining us to support our #firstlegoleague journey and inspire future innovators, creators and problem solvers!

This is why we do what we do, to provide opportunities for young people to realise their potential, to give them the belief and the confidence that they can do anything. This is what #firstlegoleague can do. This is why I'll never stop doing it.
